Race The Stream

The stock car racing game your Twitch chat plays. Type !join, get a car on the grid, and watch the race unfold live on stream.

Your chat is the grid

Race The Stream is an automated oval racing game built around Twitch. Viewers join from chat to fill the grid, every car carries their name, and the whole stream watches the race play out: pack racing, slipstream battles, wrecks, cautions and restarts, with a championship that keeps going from race to race.

Chat joins the race

Viewers type !join in Twitch chat and get their own car on the grid, with their name above it.

Same cars, different drivers

Every car has the same stats, but each driver gets random skills at the start, and they keep changing during the race.

The draft decides it

Slipstream plays a big part. Packs run three and four wide, and a good draft can carry a car from the back to the front.

Wrecks and cautions

Cars can collide and wreck. The yellow comes out, wrecks are cleared, and the field lines up two-wide for the restart.

Live leaderboard and points

Follow every position live during the race. Points build into a championship that only resets when the streamer chooses to.

Day, sunset or night

Race in daylight, at sunset or under the floodlights, or set up a long race that runs from day into night.

Built for streamers

Race The Stream runs on the streamer's PC and connects to their Twitch chat. There's nothing for viewers to install: they just type in chat.

Start the game

Launch Race The Stream and enter your Twitch channel. The game connects to your chat.

Chat joins

Viewers type !join and their car appears on the grid. AI drivers can fill any empty spots.

Race

Pick a track and the time of day, then go green. Points carry over to the next race.

Race The Stream is still in development and isn't on sale yet. Follow on Twitch or join the Discord for dev updates and test builds.
